Korean violinist Kyung-Wha Chung began her musical education with piano lessons at the age of four.
Bored with the piano, she switched to the violin at six, and three years later made her debut as a soloist, playing the Mendelssohn violin concerto. She talks to Joan Bakewell about her remarkable childhood, the Juilliard School and her great teacher, Ivan Gaiamian. Producer Kerry Chapman

Schutz died in 1672 at the age of 87. He spent much of his long life in the service of the Emperor of Saxony in Dresden, and some of his greatest music was written in his last years. Schutz is the first composer in this week's exploration of composers who have enjoyed an Indian summer of composition.
