Pina Bausch is acknowledged as one of the leading influences on theatre this century. Her company Tanztheater Wuppertal was a smash hit at last year's Edinburgh Festival and returned this year. Bausch blends dance, singing and speech in startling sounds and images. She has filled the stage with chairs, earth, carnations and water. Faynia Williams visited her and her company at Wuppertal as they began work on a new piece. Repeat
