One of the most successful musicals recently was Grease, co-produced by Allan Carr. Now the British film company EMI has backed his latest enterprise Can't Stop the Music - a 20-million dollar spectacular reviving the 1930s-style musical but with the sounds of the 1980s.
Carr's extravaganza stars the hit group Village People, Valerie Perrine and former Olympic decathlon gold medallist Bruce Jenner. Its music is composed by the film's co-producer, Jacques Morali.
