A boat in distress, a child cut off by the tide - a call to the coastguard and the nearest rescue helicopter can be scrambled within seconds. And within just a few minutes the lifeboat can also be on its way. Britain's Air-Sea Rescue services are the envy of many countries, but could they be even better?

The Private Life of the Rhesus Macaque
Since 1938 a group of Indian rhesus macaques have been living free on a tropical island in the Caribbean. Into this idyllic situation came scientists who wanted to find out how the monkeys live together and how their numbers are controlled. This intimate film shows what has been discovered about their social life - the serious side, and the fun and games.
Each monkey must know ' who's who' in its band, particularly those males which are dominant. 'Male number one,' the highest ranking member of the hierarchy, must be watched by all. But there is time to relax and the immatures have fun as they play games. They climb the high shrubs to jump nearly 30 feet into small forest pools - a game they evidently enjoy.
