In his second talk of this series, Canon Anson will speak of the mass-conversion movement in Cornwall, as exemplified in Haslam's ' From Death unto Life ', and he will discuss its effects for good or evil. Then he will have something to say about the aristocratic Evangelicals, such as Lord Radstock, Lord Cairns, and Lord Shaftesbury. Finally, he will talk of the ' Barchester tradition'.

IN NORTHERN AND CENTRAL EUROPE by the Rev. W. MARSHALL SELWYN
This Society offers friendship to
British girls living in various places in Northern and Central Europe, whether they are studying there or in employment.
In Paris the Society has a hostel, with clubrooms, where British girls can live and meet each other. A very important part of the work is the verification of situations overseas, for every situation offered abroad is suspect until it is verified ; and also the recommendation of safe lodgings.

Westrup will be found on page 8, represents the first of a new series of fortnightly Sunday Choral Concerts, of a devotional but not necessarily of a liturgical character. A number of interesting works are scheduled for performance: Handel's Fifth Chandos Anthem, a selection from Cesar Franck 's ' Béatitudes ', and Byrd's Mess in Five Parts, etc.
