Few of the clergy can look back on a wider range of religious experience than the Master of the Temple. For fifty years he has been in close touch with prominent Christian leaders. In this new series he will describe their message and their influence. In the talk this evening he will speak of a village church sixty years ago, the services held in it, the clerical family and household, and so on. He comes of an hereditary parson family. His great-uncle was Archbishop Vernon Harcourt , his grand-father Dean Anson , and his father Canon F. Anson. He will speak of them as typical men of their time.

Egon Kornauth is a forty-six-year-old Moravian composer who has done his best work in the field of chnmber music, though he has also written a quantity of orchestral music, piano music, and songs. Even as a schoolboy, he held an organist's post in his native Olmutz, played the 'cello in the local theatre and symphony orchestra, and conducted an orchestra of his schoolfellows. At fifteen he appeared as pianist and composer and, after studying at the Vienna Musikakademie, occupied several important posts in the Austrian capital. Since the war, Kornauth has made a number of concert tours, chiefly as a performer of his own compositions.
This Quintet was written in 1923, partly at Graz and partly at Switzerland.

Cyril Asquith ) will be especially eager to hear his memories of the most famous Liberal leader of all.

An appeal on behalf of THE LEAGUE
OF REMEMBRANCE (1914-1919) by Mrs. E. H. GIBSON , C.B.E.
The League of Remembrance has just completed the twenty-first year of its work, which is the making-up of materials for any hospital or institution. This work is gratuitous. Last year over 300,000 articles were made.
Widows or dependants of deceased officers, or of the professional classes, i.e., 'Remembrance Workers', are in charge of the rooms. Some supervise needlework or surgical dressings, others the stores, catering, and general running of the League. They receive a grant-in-aid for their services. Over eight hundred members pay an annual subscription and help with the work. It is a practical living memorial of the years which its name commemorates.
