Oliver Whiting
On March 31, 1936, Germany's great new airship, the Hindenburg, took off on her first flight to South America. This afternoon Oliver Whiting, who will be familiar to many listeners for his talks on flying, will discuss the significance of German airship achievement, British plans for an Atlantic service, and the general question of ocean flying. Mr. Whiting was a passenger in the veteran Graf Zeppelin when she made her first visit to this country. He is also a personal friend of Dr. Eckener, her designer and commander.

His many listeners will wish him and his instrumentalists the best of luck. He has provided something novel in the way of entertainment, and his orchestras have put it over brilliantly.
