Another chance to see this portrait, first shown on the Queen's 70th birthday in April, which uses home movie footage and rare archive film to tell the story of her childhood and youth. Narrator Ludovic Kennedy pieces together the young life of Princess Elizabeth and examines the way she was trai ned for her role as monarch, a reign that has now lasted over 44 years. He reveals a happy upbringing, Elizabeth's close relationship with herfather, and a love-at-first-sight meeting with her future Consort when she was only 13.
