Narrator Ludovic Kennedy pieces together the young life of Princess Elizabeth and examines the way she was trai ned for her role as monarch, a reign that has now lasted over 44 years. He reveals a happy upbringing, Elizabeth's close relationship with herfather, and a love-at-first-sight meeting with her future Consort when she was only 13.
