The 1970 Isle of Wight Pop Festival was the last and largest of the great music marathons. Twenty five years after the event, this film captures the incendiary performances and the chaotic atmosphere of the occasion. Being shown for the first time, it features the last British stage performances of Jimi Hendrix and of Jim Morrison with the Doors, plus footage of major acts of the day - the Who, Free, the Moody Blues, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Joan Baez and Taste.

1969: Arlo, a young folk singer, is determined to avoid the military draft. But, having found sanctuary at a haven for drop-outs centred on the wistful and loving figure of the beautiful Alice, Arlo and his friends are arrested as litterbugs. His subsequent criminal record may just save him from being sent to Vietnam.
This film adaptation of Arlo Guthrie's talking blues song The Alice's Restaurant Massacre provides a portrait of America at a very specific time in its history.
