Risley Prison Is home to men serving long sentences for armed robbery, GBH, drug offences or rape. A less likely venue for a theatre workshop it would be hard to imagine, but it is into this cynical, potentially violent environment that Geese Theatre Company comes to prepare and perform a show with the prisoners.
Geese Theatre Company works exclusively with the prison and probation services, using masks and improvisation to encourage prisoners to look at the motives behind their crimes.
After a week of workshops, a group of Risley men perform a play they have devised, confronting the secrets and fears that all prisoners share.
Director Simon Heaven ;Series editor Paul Watson A Compass production for BBCtv
