Britain has one of the worst heart attack records in the world and yet we won't stop eating fatty food or drinking full cream milk. We stand accused of having a collective death wish.
But are the reasons for giving up our fried breakfasts good enough? Should we convert to a Mediterranean diet of fish, fruit and vegetables while the benefits are uncertain and the costs are ignored? This programme examines the social and scientific issues around the current cholesterol debate.

The third in a season of films by the late Denis Mitchell , one of the pioneers of the modern documentary. Made in 1965 after Mitchell had moved to Granada Television, The Entertainers provides a fascinating insight into the daily lives of the singers, wrestlers, strippers and other clubland entertainers sharing a rooming house in a northern city. The first documentary film to be shot entirely on videotape, it was banned by the Independent Television Authority for ten months because of a brief scene where a stripper removed her top.

Bex is an estate agent, with an apparently respectable family life. But he is also a football hooligan, determined to lead a national 'firm' in an assault on Europe. Winner of the Prix Europa 1990, and Best

Prize at the Golden Prague Festival in 1989, this drama delves deep into the disturbing and vicious world of the football hooligan as it explores the roots of their violence.
