The gold medals have been awarded and the Chelsea
Flower Show draws to a close for another year.
Peter Seabrook and Alan Titchmarsh recall some of its highlights with the help of exhibitors and visitors who give their personal impressions of this year's show. They may be returning home with a gold medal, a beautiful plant, a new garden implement or just sheer inspiration. From the fantastic splendour of the newly-restored
Royal Pavilion Music Room, a specially-recorded entertainment reflecting two themes from this year's festival - the Nordic Arts and the Sitwells.
To celebrate the centenary of Edith Sitwell , poetess and eccentric extraordinary, David Owen Norris has compiled a kaleidoscope of Dame Edith's words,
Walton's music and his own setting of 'Street song', which received its first performance at the festival. Judith Rees
(soprano) and Peter Savidge (baritone) join this celebration of the Sitwells. The Nordic theme is represented by the brilliant young Swedish trumpeter, Hakan Hardenberger , accompanied by David Titterington. Their contribution this evening includes a virtuosic Fantasia Brillante on 'Rule Britannia' (by the 19th-century composer John Hartmann ). Presenter Robin Ray Sound vie GODRICH

When playwright David Lowe , an old flame, offers her the main part in his new play, she discovers it bears a curious similarity to her former life.
