Avril [text removed] is 31 months old. She has spent her entire life hooked up to a ventilator. She is still poised on the edge of life. Her parents, Kim and Peter, have been with her every day since she was born. Living in hope, but with no clear knowledge of their baby's likely outcome, is an excruciating experience for the parents.
