No single factor holds the community together, but overshadowing it is the memory of the Nazi holocaust with its continuing impact on succeeding generations. This film explores the identity of Britain's oldest immigrant group through the views of a contrasting group of women, from the religiously very orthodox to the secular, at a time when fears are growing that the community is shrinking.
