Wimbledon 86
The 100th Lawn Tennis Championships Men's Final
It is very possible that
Wimbledon's YTS might produce another fresh.faced champion this afternoon. Last year BORIS BECKER , as you know, was the youngest-ever winner - big lad for 17 - but he hurt his good hand at Queen's. Jimmy Connors is now 34, and did an adductor (painful) in the final there.
J. Patrick McEnroe , well he's keeping mum, and child, back in the US of A, so who's it to be? Live at 2.0, you'll get two clues at least.
DAN MASKELL and JOHN BARRETT commentate.

Motor Racing French Grand Prix
No point in promising you any of this, but should it tip down at Wimbledon, and stranger things have happened, then herein lies the first resort.
Grand Prix (9.20 pm) would be unlikely to reciprocate. It would be nearly dark anyway.

Cowgirls
Narrated by Faye Dunaway It wasn't only cowboys who pioneered the Wild West, there were women too; there still are.
The Cooksley sisters came across the Atlantic from
Harrow in 1906. Now, nearly 90, they live side-by-side on their original Wyoming homesteads.
Fern Sawyer was Champion Cowgirl back in 1947. Today she runs a New Mexico ranch - in some style. Her wardrobe contains 100 pairs of boots, 75 stetsons and a dozen or so saddles.
At this year's All-Girl Rodeo in Texas, the riders use their skills just as their predecessor Tad Lucas did. She earned$10,000 all through the Depression, and she reckons she broke every bone in her body. 'Yessir, those gals sure got guts.'

Jeffrey Archer in conversation with Richard Baker
The best-selling author and Conservative Party Deputy
Chairman welcomes Richard to his lovely Grantchester home as well as his spectacular Thames-side penthouse.
He shows him his remarkable collection of paintings; confides which pop group he believes is destined for immortality; describes which part of Britain he most loves; and takes part in two of his three favourite competitive sports. He discusses his attitude to writing - his own and other people's - and reveals whose triumphs bring him an even greater pleasure than his own.

The Choreographer and the Dance
Tom Jobe and his
Liquid Assets and Rite Electrik with members of the London Contemporary Dance Theatre 'They said "Put on a pair of tights" and I did - I looked like a dancing toothpick, which is not too far from what I look like now....' Tom Jobe is as much a showbusiness personality as a choreographer - he was
Electra in Starlight Express and is now appearing in Chess in London's West End.
In this programme he talks about his adventures in two big cities and how they produced the pieces performed tonight:
Liquid Assets - a comic look at New York office life; and Rite Electrik - a weird gladiatorial ritual, set in a London disco....
