Cambo, Northumberland
Presented by Geoff Hamilton and Clay Jones
'To find a wilderness inside a living garden is depressing, but to foresee the creation of a living garden from a wilderness is inspiring.'
So say Frank and Marjorie Lawley who ten years ago took on a derelict farmyard. Today, after battling with cold weather, wind and a clay soil, their inspiration has become reality - a beautiful physic garden, a modern example of the medieval original.
With over 2,000 hardy plants arranged in beds of individual colours, there's plenty of opportunity for propagation, and Frank has his own ideas on this, together with many good tips for small gardens.

Dora Russell , who died last month, is usually thought of only as the second wife of Bertrand Russell. In this second showing of her interview with Bel Mooney , she is seen as a vigorous campaigner for issues she always cared about - education, women's rights and world peace.
