continues a major season of recent American movies starring Alan Arkin, Sally Kellerman and Mackenzie Phillips

Rafferty is an easygoing kind of guy who has not had much success in his army career. He is not that great as a Los Angeles driving instructor either. But it's a job he gets plenty of practice at when he is kidnapped by two vagrants - Mac and Frisbee. The 'gold dust' twins hijack Rafferty and his car and force him to drive to New Orleans. It's one of the most hectic and hilarious journeys in movie history.
