IPC spent a million pounds on launching a glossy new monthly, Options. It was a risk: no end to the recession was in sight, most magazines were losing circulation and Good Housekeeping and Cosmopolitan provided entrenched opposition. This film looks at the conception, birth and first nine months of Options as it tries to reach out, identify and then capture the Options woman.
