The Lion of Swaziland
King Sobhuza II - The Lion of Swaziland - is the longest-reigning monarch on earth.
Since the Boer War, when the British considered him no more than a figurehead, KING SOBHUZA has juggled successfully with the tensions of 20th-century Africa. He has retained many colourful and little-known rituals and ceremonies. including the spectacular Reed Dance, performed by 8,000 young girls. Yet he has introduced progressive measures and established a Swazi Parliament.
King Sobhuza is now in his 80s : and many fear for the future of Swaziland - sandwiched between. South Africa and Mozambique-after the King has gone.

Interpretations of Bosch's paintings have been varied and extreme: heresy, alchemy, drugs, witchcraft and, the most popular, that he was a member of a secret sect which practised orgies.
Nicholas Baum , who has been fascinated by these haunting paintings for many years, began his investigation in the belief that we would never know their full meaning. After a journey which took him to Holland, Spain and Portugal, he is convinced that he has found the key.
