Tonight from BBC West: Factory and Family
Six hundred people who make steering gear parts at a West Country factory in Clevedon work for one of the world's largest multi-national companies, yet are still encouraged to consider themselves members of one large family.
Today this approach to industrial relations may seem old-fashioned and paternal, but the company has an enviable strike-free record coupled with increased productivity and profits.

The Self-help Show
A fortnightly look at community action presented by Ian Breach an Ann Hunter Reclaim The Night
In Britain today women can't walk alone at night without fear. An estimated 11,000 are raped every year-but not just on the streets; many are raped in the ' safety' of their own homes. In a growing number of cities there's someone to turn to - women are organising to give help and advice, like at the Leeds Rape Crisis Centre. They talk to us about what they're trying to do and why. And the Belt & Braces Band add some music. Designed for Living?
It's not just on old dilapidated housing estates that conditions can be unbearable. Even tenants in brand-new homes are suffering from design faults. Thousands are now enduring life in damp, ill-ventilated rooms. We'll be reporting from two estates in Scotland where tenants have formed campaigns to get something done and take on the local authorities.
