Presented by Angela Rippon who, with her special guests up from the country, introduces some of the people, places and events that have attracted Country Game through the year.
This week: The Royal Show
A special edition recorded back in July when farmers took time off between haymaking and harvest to visit the ' Royal' - British farming's annual shop window.
To sample this year's agricultural delights, ANGELA RIPPON was joined by Elizabeth Eyden and farmers Joe Henson and Ted Moult. By the end of the day, they had at least taught Angela how to shear a sheep.

The Vital Spark
' Broken bones and severed nerves that seem to heal better in a magnetic field.'
' A theory that some living tissues behave like transistors.'
' New chemicals with puzzling abilities to conduct electricity.'
These are the elements in a story that traces some of the mysteries that link electricity to living creatures. Many of the theories are being received sceptically by mainstream scientists. But increasing numbers of researchers are beginning to believe that the textbooks do not yet tell the whole story. If they are right, their work on bio-electricity could open a new window on the processes of life. Narrator PAUL VAUGHAN
