Henry King was one of the great Hollywood directors for nearly 40 years. He was five times nominated for Oscars and his films include such successes as The Song of Bernadette, Alexander's Ragtime Band, The Black Swan, The Snows of Kilimanjaro, The Gun-fighter and Carousel, all of which are to be shown in a special season of his films on BBC2.
In this programme Henry King talks about his movies from Tol'able David in 1921 to This Earth is Mine in 1959 and, introduces clips from some of his outstanding films.
