By Pack-Horse Through Lakeland Bob Orrell and his fell ponies, Thor and Lucy, follow the old pack-horse trails across the Lake District.
They encounter the Eskdale hounds with huntsman EDMUND PORTER , hear how the Forestry Commission intend to avoid replanting Ennerdale with rows of regimented pine trees, and meet the FELL PONY SOCIETY, appropriately on a pack-horse bridge at Watendlath. But can they avoid the crowds who throng one of Britain's most popular touring areas?
