Design for a Wilderness
Few people who opt out of the rat-race start from a very good position anyway. But Phil Drabble gave up his directorship and abandoned a career in industry, to establish a unique wildlife reserve at Abbots Bromley in Staffordshire. Now he manages badgers, herons and other threatened species in an undisturbed sanctuary that he plans to be a prototype for the future.

Cannabis
How much do we really know about cannabis, the drug that became the symbol of Western pop-culture in the 60s? What are the effects of its long-term use? Does it lead to harder drugs? What would be the result of relaxing the laws and allowing its use in private, or even legalising it? In some countries new approaches like these are already being tried. But is cannabis harmful?
This programme reports on the most recent and sometimes startling scientific research, and on the new worldwide developments on ' pot.'

The US PGA ChamnionshiD from the Firestone Golf Club, Acron, Ohio.
The world's golfing 61ite are gathered for this, the fourth and last golf classic of the year.
This is the 57th United States PGA Championship and LEE TRE-
VINO defends his title against the new British Open Champion TOM WATSON and the man who is a threat in any major championship, JACK NICKLAUS. But from the evidence at Carnoustie four weeks ago any one of 20 golfers is capable of winning this major prize. Highlights of the last day's play are described by PETER ALLiss and HARRY CARPENTER.
PETER ALLISS says,
' The Firestone Golf Club in Acron, Ohio, is one of the most testing of golf courses. It has been the scene of many championships over the past few years. The course is long and demanding calling for a lot of long accurate iron play.
It will be interesting to see how Arnold Palmer will fare. The US PGA Championship is the only major championship that he hasn' won. And time is running out for him.'
