One evening there was an annoying incident about straying animals and Lewis Holland, 73 years old and tired, decided to sell up the farm where he had toiled all his life. In the exciting weeks that followed he discovered he was worth a fortune and the whole farming community turned up on a day in September to see what the grand total would be when the last of his effects went under the hammer.
