The John Player League featuring
Derbyshire v Gloucestershire
Earlier this season Gloucestershire produced a batting display against Somerset that was to provide one of the most stimulating afternoons ever seen in the Sunday Cricket series. If the two sides can rise to the occasion again, this will make our first visit to Derbyshire this season a very exciting prospect.
PETER WALKER introduces the programme which includes news of today's other fixtures:
Essex v Sussex; Kent v Lancashire Leicestershire v Worcestershire Warwickshire v
Northamptonshire Yorkshire v Surrey

Cyclone
Early on Christmas morning 1974 the Northern Australian town of Darwin was hit by a cyclone of such intensity that the town almost ceased to exist. Forty-eight people were killed, scores were injured and so much of the city was demolished that it had to be evacuated. How do people cope emotionally and physically with such total devastation? Somehow, people all over the world live with the knowledge at the back of their minds that their whole community could be destroyed by such awful natural forces as cyclones, floods, earthquakes and the eruptions of volcanoes. Yest, they continue to live in areas where such disasters can be expected at some time. The question is - why?
