Andean Journey
The story of Casimiro, a young Aymara Indian , who made a journey through Bolivia to explore the limits of his world and to discover an alternative to the harshness of his traditional life. His people are one of the oldest of the Latin American Andes and well-versed in the art of survival - living two-and-a-half miles above sea level in one of the most inhospitable regions of the world.
Though they have also survived a succession of invaders from the Incas to theSpanish Conquistadors, they now face the tide of international commerce that threatens to engulf them. There are those who argue that this would be no bad thing, while others are working to help the Indians decide the kind of future they would like.
