A season of films showing the adult world from the child's point of view.

starring Alfonso Mejia as Pedro, Roberto Cobo as Jaibo
with Estela Inda, Miguel Inclan

Set in the slums of Mexico City, this uncompromising story about a young thug who is determined to show his proficiency in every branch of crime won director Luis Bunuel the Grand Prix at Venice in 1951. Bunuel used non-professional actors in this unsentimental study of juvenile delinquency, and the film created a considerable stir when it was first released in Europe.
