Ludwig, King of Bavaria
The story of the tragic King whose withdrawal into the realm of fantasy was to leave the legacy of a fantastic castle. The director, Frederic Rossif, does not tell us of Ludwig nor of Bavaria, he gives them to us to see. His film is not a speech for the defence, but an opera which gives Bavaria its true romantic colour and Ludwig his Wagnerian framework
