Based on a short story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Dramatised by John Hawkesworth.
Starring Diane Cilento and Roy Dotrice

Lady Sannox is one of the richest and most beautiful women in London. Her husband is many years her senior and is apparently quite content with the life she is leading. He seems more interested in cultivating his chrysanthemums - until Lady Sannox becomes the mistress of Douglas Stone, the eminent surgeon. Lord Sannox watches this affair, waiting to prove, perhaps, that he is not the meek, mild man his wife expects. He seeks his revenge, which is swift and terrible.
