BBC Symphony Orchestra - Elgar Symphonies
Elgar's Third Symphony, completed by Anthony Payne , has been a staple of the BBC Symphony Orchestra's repertoire since they gave its first performance in 1998. Andrew Davis conducts a performance from the orchestra's tour of the Far East last year, and Piers Lane champions a neglected masterpiece by another English composer, John Ireland.

Richard Coles talks to William FPepper , attorney and friend of Martin Luther King , whose new book An Act of State is a devastating account of the United States government's role in King's assassination in 1968. The book sets out the details from the explosive 1999 court case, which outlined the involvement of the FBI and CIA, local Memphis police, and organised crime in a conspiracyto murder King.
