A transparent, light and airy new work from the young British composer David Sawer is paired tonight with the most lyrical of Bartok's three piano concertos, written by the dying composer for his wife, and followed by Sibelius's tumultuous Symphony No 2, a great Proms favourite. At the helm at the Royal Albert Hall is Mark Wigglesworth, who continues his fruitful partnership with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
