Mike Harrison presents the eighth of ten programmes on the music of the Canadian jazz composer and arranger. Evans described the rock musician Jimi Hendrix as 'a very, very great guitar player', so it is not surprising that he should arrange several Hendrix compositions for his own orchestra, including 'Castles made of sand' and 'Little wing'.
