Pretty Rosie Pettigrew was one of three young sisters who modelled for such artists as Whistler, Millals and Sargent.
She was the subject of Philip Wilson Steer's painting Jonquils (now on exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts) and when Clare Bennett originally bought the paintingshetracedRose Pettigrew and persuaded her to write down her reminiscences. Producer CHRISTOPHER VENNING
