Multinational companies control about one third of the non-communist world's economy. They have grown in size and power since the scandals about their activities in Chile, Holland, Italy and the poorest countries burst upon the world ten years ago. Much has changed since then and new problems have emerged. Are the multinationals bogeymen or benefactors?
