Tonight's programme includes the story of pensioner Patrick Dalzel-Job who, as a British naval officer during the Second World War, saved thousands of lives when he disobeyed military orders and risked his life evacuating the Norwegian town of Narvik, just hours before it was bombed by the German Luftwaffe. Other awards go to Abbie Wilson , who risked her life to rescue drowningteenagers in rough seas off the Cornish coast; and Bernadette Cleary , whose charity The Rainbow Trust provides hospice care for terminally ill children. Theirconvictions depended heavily on the disputed confession of Patrick Molloy , who laterdied of a heart attack in 1981. The three remaining men continue to proclaim their innocence.
