Tom Spellacy is a resentful cop, his brother an ambitious Roman
Catholic priest. They take their relationship and different lives for granted. Until, that is, a murder comes between them. Investigating the killing of a prostitute, Tom discovers his brother knew her and is protecting a prominent businessman connected with the crime.
