Gothenburg on the penultimate day of the championships, with seven gold medals at stake. In the men's marathon, Mexican Dionicio Ceron , winner of the London
Marathon, is favourite, while former World Cup champion Richard Nerurkar runs for Britain. The sprint relays also get under way, with Linford Christie in action. Tony Jarrett carries Britain's hopes in the men's 1 10 metres hurdles in the absence of the injured Colin Jackson , the 1993 world champion and current world record holder. Jarrett took the silver medal behind Jackson two years ago in Stuttgart and this time is hoping to go one better.
