When Kenneth Best was born in 1969 he was a healthy baby.
Then, at four months, he was given the three-in-one vaccine. For the vast majority of children, it's a completely safe protection; but in Kenneth's case something went catastrophically wrong.
When Kenneth's mother Margaret Best realised her son was brain-damaged, she began a 24-year struggle to find out how and why. This dramatised account re-creates her search for the truth and the equal efforts of the drug company to avoid investigation. Margaret Best herself appears between scenes and Anna Ford provides commentary.
After years of professional neglect and legal defeat, Margaret and Kenneth were finally vindicated in 1993. "I think the drug company wanted to use Kenneth's case as an example to others." says Margaret. "To say: 'Don't mess with us, because we'll step on you anyway, we're too big and you don't stand a chance.

A new comedy series about a group of part-time soldiers in the Territorial Army.
Now that Hodge is besotted with Laura, Eric decides that he has to embark alone on a three-phase attack to find employment, a home and a woman. He lands a job in consumer marketing only to discover it involves having to wear a latex crocodile costume.
Worse still, after chatting up
TA newcomer Dawn, he agrees to perform with the crocodile in front of her class of 4-year-olds at the local primary school. As the Chinese proverb says, "Beware the Smoking Dragon".
In Roker Bridge the wind of fortune blows hot.... and cold.
