A new ten-part drama series created by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran and starring Adam Faith, Zoe Wanamaker, Jane Lapotaire
Tessa Piggott walks out of her high-flying city career and, determined to change her life completely, takes a job heading up a Third World development agency, SEED. She also resolves to give up relationships. But then she meets plumber Frank Carver, and romance is reluctantly on her agenda.
"Adam Faith came before the story - we've wanted to work with him for a long time," says Laurence Marks. "But I dreamt Zoe Wanamaker, I really did. I knew then that she'd be perfect as Tessa." He describes the new series as "a drama with smiles and tears. It's about two people who don't know how to fall in love. We've concentrated on comedy like Birds of Feather recentiy, but this is not the first drama series we've written - we did Shine on Harvey Moon in the 80s."
Co-writer Maurice Gran calls it "a romantic series about relationships with a seasoning of serious comedy".
