The Grand Finale
The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is presented by HQ Scotland (Army) and produced by Brigadier John S. Sanderson, DSO, OBE
One of Britain's major tourist attractions, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo is as much a part of the Edinburgh Festival as more earnest activities going on in the city below the castle.
"A healthy antidote to a cultural binge" one critic wrote in the early days. A celebration of the military virtues, the tattoo combines some heady nostalgia, with modern technology and superbly professional presentation from the moment the massed pipes and drums first march into the Esplanade to the tear-jerking sentiment of the finale.
