Second of three famous Westerns starring James Stewart and directed by Anthony Mann
Also starring Arthur Kennedy, Rock Hudson, Julia Adams

James Stewart plays Glyn McLyntock, a seasoned guide hired to take an 1847 wagon train northward through Oregon to new farmland. Treachery, starvation, goldrush fever and Indian attack threaten the survival of the party, and the climax comes in a spectacular race across the slopes of snow-clad Mount Hood.
