at the BBC Theatre Organ
This evening Ena Baga , who is organist at the Gaumont, Camden Town, will give her ninth recital on the BBC Theatre Organ. She has had wide musical experience. At the age of twelve she was playing the organ at a Southend church, and two years later took over the organ at the Strand Cinema in Southend. Later, coming to London, she spent a year at the New Gallery with her sister Florence de Jong, and later took over the Tivoli from John Reynders, where she played for many years.

Ena Baga comes of a musical family. She is a daughter of Con Baga, a well-known composer, and her three sisters, Florence de Jong, Celest Baga, and Beatrice Baga are musical, the first two being organists and the last a violinist.

Holidays with pay is a subject very much in the air in this country at the present time. France was one of the pioneers in the world question of industrial, efficiency through care-free leisure, and the Blum government received the gratitude of hundreds of thousands of French workers when it instituted the compulsory annual holiday on full wages.
This evening's speaker lives in Paris, has made considerable study of French industrial conditions, and will describe the effects of the holiday with pay in France.
Professor Ford will outline the position in Britain, and will deal not only with the advantages of the holidays with pay but with some of the practical difficulties that have to be overcome before it is a smoothly-running possibility.

This tuneful operetta was first produced by the great George Edwardes at the Lyric Theatre, London, in October 1903, the chief part being played by Evie Greene.
The story is based on the well-known Madame Sans-Gene , in the title-role of which play Rejane took Paris by storm before the war. The story tells how Catherine Upscher , proprietress of a Paris laundry, metes out generous treatment to a penniless young customer by the name of Napoleon Bonaparte. Her generosity is rewarded many years later when he has become Emperor.
The Duchess of Dantzic contains some of Ivan Caryll 's most delightful tunes, chief among them being the well-known songs ' Noblesse Oblige', ' Le Petit Caporal','The Milliner Monarch ', ' My Sabots ', and 'The Mirror Song '.
'The Duchess of Dantzic' will be broadcast again on Thursday
