The Southern Sisters
Betty Southern and Frank Hagley at the two pianos
The Southern Sisters produced their new show, 'A Cavalcade of Song ', on the halls last December. The act is beautifully staged and dressed, and the talent of the ' sisters' (Betty and Vera, unlike Sybille, are really sisters) is second to none.
They have been booked for the Bellevue Strand Hotel, Copenhagen, for the whole month of June, and will be appearing three times nightly at this luxury hotel situated twenty minutes outside Copenhagen and right on the beach. While they are out there they will be broadcasting from Norway and Sweden, as well as from Denmark, and they are booked for further broadcasts from London on their return.

' How Hogsnorton is Situated '
Described by Mr. Gillie Potter
Hogsnorton is ready-it was never otherwise-Semper Paratus has ever been the motto of Borough and Burgess alike ; for which cause it was deemed the most cussed corner of his realm by Ethelred the Unready.
No crisis can affect the cool calm of the trivial round of a community which has lived dangerously ever since the demolition of Hadrian's Wall ; though in one respect it enjoys a certain security denied the rest of England, for no alien may settle down within Hogsnorton without leave, nor leave Hogsnorton without settling up.
Tonight Mr. Gillie Potter will take us around the ancient walls of his native place to witness from that vantage the nightly ceremony of ' Tavern Turn Out
