A woman who has been badly beaten, raped and left for dead is discovered at a remote Hampshire beauty spot. A separate report of a car accident not far from the scene of the attack lead detectives to a man with previous convictions for sexually abusing young women, Damien Taylor, and his girlfriend Kerry Young. Accused of the crime, Taylor allows documentary cameras to follow him through the criminal justice system as a chilling story of senseless violence unfolds during the course of the investigation.
