From Steven Spielberg's Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation comes this Oscar-winning documentary about the last days of Hitler's "Final Solution" which focuses on the testimonies of five Hungarian Jews as they return from the United States to the land of their birth. Their search for answers takes Tom Lantos, Alice Lok Cahana, Renee Firestone, Bill Basch and Irene Zisbiatt back to their former home towns and to the remains of death camps such as Auschwitz-Birkenau.

In 1939, Austrian businessman Oskar Schindler, a Gentile, comes to Krakow with the idea of using cheap Jewish labour in his factory. As Jewish persecution spreads, Schindler, although a close associate of SS officers, finds it worth his while to protect his workers from the escalating evil.
