A four-part series that looks at the careers of women in comedy. Prunella Scales. High points of Prunella Scales's long and varied television career include popular and memorable roles in Outside Edge, After Henry, the sixties sitcom Marriage Lines, and Mapp and Lucia.
But perhaps the best-known creation of the actress noted for the meticulous attention to detail in her character constructions came with the monstrous Sybil in Fawlty Towers, who can be seen in a classic episode of the Torquay hotel comedy that follows immediately after this profile.
