The area where the sea crashes against the rugged coast of Vancouver Island in Canada is a dramatic wildlife battle zone.

Remarkable underwater photography reveals a hidden world of giant starfish chasing clams, sea slugs stalking crabs and armies of anemones battling against each other.

When the tide falls, black bears and mink plunder the rock pools for crabs and, once a year, billions of herring come to this coast to spawn, creating a huge feast for dolphins, sea lions and eagles.
