The sheepdog trials series from Tindale Tarn in Cumbria reaches its climax after six closely contested heats with the brace and singles finals.
The brace tests skill and co-ordination, with the handler runningtwo dogs simultaneously. Experienced English farmer Chris Todd will be running Belle and Pat against Taff and Floss, handled by Gareth Davies of Wales.
Another English representative,
Paul Turnbull , takes Nap into the final of the singles event where he faces Kenny Brehmer with Bute for Scotland.

Another chance to see this documentary, narrated by Sandi Toksvig. In a boat her late father told her was once used by David Livingstone himself, she sets out to canoe down the Zambezi River, where she encounters an Africa wilder and tougher than her pleasant childhood memories of the continent.

Last year's documentary series The Trial made legal and television history with its detailed portrayal of the Scottish High Court. For the first time, viewers could watch trials for serious crimes from beginning to end - not live, as in the USA, but at least in full detail. The Trial is now being repeated in modified form, featuring new interviews with key figures in each case and reporting on the subsequent fate of the defendants.

The series opens tonight with the case of Andrew Deacons, accused of the murder of civil servant Matthew Flemming. Deacons's girlfriend, a key prosecution witness, talks about why she decided to give evidence that led to his conviction.

Flemming was battered to death as he walked home alone. There were no witnesses to the attack, no apparent motive and no fingerprints. But the police found two watches at the scene of the crime. One was identified as the victim's and the other, claimed the prosecution, was dropped by Deacons at the time of the murder.

In this second programme, style guru Peter York talks to developers, estate agents and yuppies as he takes a personal look at the golden years of property fever, easy money and designer labels. He examines how owning- or worse still, not owning - property became a national preoccupation. The season of films accompanying this series continues at 1 0.00pm with High Spirits.
